The book is very informative and an easy read and you'll probably like this book. It's pretty much a very unscientific layman's guide to gardening in general with all the examples being fruits and vegetable but the entire book is littered with the author's personal opinions but there are also a few useful tips included as well and you likely will have to do a lot more googling beyond this book since the author mentions some things and then tells you to research them elsewhere but it's an OK starting off point.Product details

Definitely a book for the beginner but very clear and covers most important considerations in an easy to read concise manner. As an experienced gardener I picked up one tip - that is always good!

After getting a vegan diet cookbook, I couldn't but buy this book. There is nothing more pleasing than knowing exactly how a plant or a fruit has grown, what fertilizer and manure was used or if there wasn't any used. Because, it seems so right to eat the healthier and most pure ingredients the earth can offer. Especially if you grow them yourself! I have to mention that I used to believe that a vegetable garden needs a lot of space. Apparently I was wrong!it just needs a positive attitude.

Starting from sharing the benefits of creating our own vegetable gardens like saving money, using chemical free and fresh vegetables the book guides on how to prepare the location for vegetable garden, on deciding what to plant in vegetable garden, how to maintain the vegetable garden, when to harvest the vegetables and which are the common mistakes to be avoided. This is a simple and clear book which beautifully describes the steps as well as tips for creating our own vegetable gardens. The book encourages to indulge in the hobby and to wait patiently for harvesting the vegetables at the proper time.
